Silghat Kamakhya Temple

Situated near Kaliabor in Nagaon, Silghat Kamakhya Temple was originally established by a King of the Salastambha dynasty. First established by a Salastambha king and later rebuilt by Ahom King Pramatta Sinha, the temple has watched centuries pass while remaining a comforting space for worshippers. Here, two forms of the Mother Goddess-Kamakhya and Durga re lovingly revered.
