Assam State Museum

Assam State Museum is located in the heart of Guwahati city near the Dighali Pukhuri. It is one of the most famous museums of North- East India that gives an insight into the rich heritage and culture of North-East ranging from its ancient history as well as the modern history. The Museum has a rare collection of exhibits displayed under different sections, viz., Epigraphy, Sculptures, Miscellaneous, Natural History, Art and Crafts, Anthropology & Folk Art, and Arms section. Apart from that it has a library with a rich corpus of books, manuscripts, periodicals of great socio-historical importance.
