The Natun Kamalabari Sattra was established by Sri Sri Badala Padma Ata who was one of the principal disciples of the great saint poet, preacher and scholar Sri Sri Madhavdev. Being one of the premier seats of Bhakti faith, the Sattra is noted for its preservation and practice of the great intangible heritage of Sattriya art and culture.
