Namdang Stone Bridge (Sila Saku)
Sila Saku is another architectural marvel of the Ahom dynasty shaped by a cut out from a single solid rock over the Namdang River. Situated around 12 KMs from the Sivasagar town, it was constructed by craftsmen hired from Bengal during the reign of Swargadeo Rudra Singha in 1703 The Sila- Saku bridge measures 60 metres in length and 6.5 meter in breadth including six culverts of which five could be seen below. The bridge bearing the crowded traffic of Assam Trunk Road (National Highway 37) passing over it, is certainly the best evidence of engineering and technological wonder of that period.
