Dehing Patkai National Park

Referred to as the Amazon of the East, Jeypore Rain Forest was declared as Dehing Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary on 19th June, 2004. With an area of 234.26 sq km. located in the midst of Dibrugarh and Tinsukia District, the sanctuary houses 42 species of mammals, 40 species of reptiles, 30 species of butterflies more than 200 species of birds as per the records. On 15th June 2021, this WLS was declared as a National Park.
